Italian Bruschetta (Tomato Basil Toast) Recipe


1 Large Tomato

1 Tablespoon basil

¼ Teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and Pepper to taste

3 Slices of bread

¼ Cup of Parmesan or grated mozzarella cheese



  1. In a small bowl add:



Garlic Powder

Salt and Pepper

  1. Cover and Refrigerate for 15 to 30 minutes


  1. On a baking sheet place 3 slices of bread


  1. Broil in oven until bread is browned on top


  1. Spoon the tomato mixture on the bread and sprinkle with parmesan or grated mozzarella cheese


  1. Broil in oven until cheese is melted about 1 minute
